Galapogos Sea Lion, Zalophus wollebaeki, Galapagos
The main difference between a sea lion and a seal even though they both belong to the Attendee family is that the sea lions have exposed ear flaps  and swim using their front flippers. Seals use their hind flippers. They are one of the largest animals in the Galapagos, with males weighing up to 550 pounds and rely on cooperation within the group. Often a single adult female will watch over a group of young pups while other mothers are fishing.
