| Kirk's Rock Agama, Agama kirkii, Tanzania
The agama family contains more than 300 species of plump bodied lizards, found throughout the warmer regions of the world except in Madagascar and New Zealand. Most Agamias have thin tails, long legs and triangular shaped heads. They live on the ground, in trees or amoung rocks and feed mainly on insects and other small invertebrates, but also on some plant matter. |
